The NBA completed its draft lottery, establishing the order of picks for the teams who missed the playoffs a series of coin flips to break ties from the regular season, establishing the full order of picks 1-60 heading into the draft lottery, set for June 22 on ESPN.

The lottery determined the top four picks in the draft, with each of the bottom three teams in the league -- the Houston Rockets, Detroit Pistons and Orlando Magic -- having an equal 14% chance of landing the No. 1 overall pick. After the ping-pong balls were drawn, here's how things ended up:

  • No. 1 - Detroit Pistons

  • No. 2 - Houston Rockets

  • No. 3 - Cleveland Cavaliers

  • No. 4 - Toronto Raptors

This will be the first time since 1970 that the Pistons have the No. 1 overall pick. The 2021 NBA draft will be held on July 29 at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
