Richmond vs. Hawthorn, MCG, 7:40pm (AEDT)
Team news: The big shock this week is that Richmond star Dustin Martin will not play due to an unspecified injury. Jack Ross and Josh Caddy return, while Liam Baker has been managed. The Hawks will regain star midfielder Jaeger O'Meara and it's just what they need coming off their Round 2 loss to the Cats down the highway. Harry Morrison misses out.

Result: For the second straight week the Tigers have kicked just five goals, and the Hawks made them pay. Dustin Martin left a large hole in Richmond's midfield, while Hawthorn coach Alastair Clarkson said he really pushed "competitive spirit" during the week after their Round 2 loss to Geelong last week. Jaeger O'Meara was a welcome return for the Hawks, too.
Score: Richmond 5.9 (39) def. by Hawthorn 11.5 (71)

Western Bulldogs vs. GWS, Marvel Stadium, 7.50pm (AEST)
Team news: Premiership midfielder Tom Liberatore has been selected for the Dogs, along with Zaine Cordy and Toby McLean, while Patrick Lipinski, Ryan Gardner and Billy Gowers go out, while the Giants welcome back Zac Langdon and Lachie Ash at the expense of Isaac Cumming and an injured Toby Greene.
Result: The Dogs and Giants have developed a great rivalry ever since the breathtaking 2016 preliminary final, and this game was no exception. The two teams came together at three-quarter time amid scores of ripped jerseys, after Tom Liberatore had kicked a goal to give the Bulldogs a little extra breathing room heading into the final term. The Bulldogs led at every change after the Giants kicked just the one goal to halftime; the visitors only able to add three more after the main break.
Score: Western Bulldogs 8.9 (53) def. GWS Giants 4.9 (33)

North Melbourne vs. Sydney, Marvel Stadium, 1.45pm (AEST)
Team news: Paul Ahern returns for North Melbourne while Robbie Fox returns for Sydney.
Result: The Swans' road form against the Roos held firm at Marvel Stadium on Saturday (they've now won six of the past seven clashes), and many might already be wondering if Sydney's rapid rebuild is already bearing fruit. North will be disappointed by their inaccuracy and slow start, but thrilled with the form of Jy Simpkin, who picked up 26 touches, eight clearances and a goal. Both sides are now 2-1 heading into Round 4.
Score: North Melbourne 8.12 (60) def by. Sydney 10.11 (71)
Collingwood vs. St Kilda, MCG, 4.35pm (AEST)
Team news: Jaidyn Stephenson will return for the Pies, who need a little more firepower up forward after managing just five goals last week against Richmond. Rupert Wills is also named, with Jack Madgen and Josh Thomas left out. The Saints have made just one change, with skipper Jarryn Geary out with a hamstring injury - Jonathon Marsh comes in.
Result: The Magpies were again at their defensive best on Saturday as they surged past the up and coming Saints, who were keen to test themselves after an impressive win against the Dogs in Round 2. Pies coach Nathan Buckley would be pleased with the return of livewire forward Jaidyn Stephenson who booted two of the home side's five first quarter goals - their hot starts proving critical in 2020. The Pies have held their opponents to five goals in all matches this season.
Score: Collingwood 12.9 (81) def. St Kilda 5.7 (37)
Brisbane vs. West Coast, Gabba, 7.40pm (AEST)
Team news: The big out for the Eagles is Jeremy McGovern, but veteran defender Will Schofield comes in to fill the void, while Archie Smith gets another chance for the Lions with Stefan Martin to miss with injury.
Result: West Coast was no match for the Lions who used an eight-goal to three second half to jump into the top four. Gun midfielder and Brownlow fancy Lachie Neale's 32 touches and two goals proved too much for the Eagles to handle at the Gabba, with the away side now having suffered consecutive defeats.
Score: Brisbane 10.14 (74) def. West Coast 6.8 (44)
Geelong vs. Carlton, GMHBA Stadium, 7.40pm (AEST)
Team news: For Carlton, Jack Silvagni and Tom Williamson come in for Darcy Lang (omitted) and Nic Newman (knee), while the Cats have made no changes.
Result: Carlton was able to survive a late Geelong onslaught to win its first game of the season, atoning for their poor start last week to kick five opening quarter goals. It was Eddie Betts who starred in the win, kicking two goals and laying a match-winning tackle late in the game to halt Geelong's surge. Skipper Patrick Cripps was also instrumental. Despite finishing the game with more scoring shots, Geelong's inaccuracy late in the contest will have them lamenting their missed chances. Both sides now have a 1-2 record.
Score: Geelong 11.11 (77) def by. Carlton 12.7 (79)

Gold Coast vs. Adelaide, Metricon Stadium, 3:05pm (AEST)
Team news: David Swallow and Brandon Ellis are among four inclusions on an extended bench for the Suns, while the Crows have added Kyle Hartigan and Elliott Himmelberg to their extended squad.
Result: The Suns went into the match as the favourite and boy did they deliver! The young brigade was against fantastic; Ben King kicked three goals, Matt Rowell kicked two rippers on his left boot and there were contributions on every line. On the other hand, the hunger was missing for the Crows, who looked slow all day.
Score: Gold Coast 12.10 (82) def. Adelaide 4.5 (29)
Essendon vs. Melbourne, POSTPONED
Score: TBA
Fremantle vs. Port Adelaide, Metricon Stadium, 6:05pm (AEST)
Team news: Talin Duman and Sean Darcy will miss injured for the Dockers, who have named an extended bench featuring Nathan Wilson and Jesse Hogan, while Ollie Wines is on the Powers' extended bench.
Prediction: It was one quarter of magic from Port Adelaide that set up their 29-point win over Fremantle, as torrential rain dampened proceedings after quarter time. Travis Boak and Ollie Wines relished the conditions for the Power, while Justin Westhoff and Charlie Dixon kicked two each in the win.
Score: Fremantle 6.5 (41) def. by Port Adelaide 10.10 (70)
