England's most experienced international referee, Ed Morrison, will handle his last major match at Twickenham today when he takes charge of the Tetley's Bitter Cup final between Harlequins and Newcastle.
Morrison, 49, will run out before the teams to mark the occasion.
The Bristolian is retiring from the International Rugby Board's international panel at the end of this season, and officiated in his first Test match (France v Scotland) 10 years ago.
He has controlled 33 major internationals, a total beaten only by Derek Bevan of Wales and Scotland's Jim Fleming.
The highlights have included refereeing the 1995 World Cup final in Johannesburg when South Africa beat New Zealand in extra time. Morrison also ran the touch in the 1999 final between Australia and France.
He became the Rugby Football Union's first full-time referee on 1 December 1998, and last year was awarded an honorary degree by Bristol University for services to rugby union.
