Bryce Heem's late try earned Worcester Warriors an unlikely victory over 11-man Bath at Sixways Stadium on Saturday.

Heem crossed over almost 20 minutes after time had expired following a spell which saw the away side receive three yellow cards in less than 10 minutes, compounding the 64th-minute red shown to replacement prop Ross Batty. Fly-half Duncan Weir then added the winning two-point conversion from the tee to seal the 21-19 win.

Premiership strugglers Worcester found themselves 19-3 down after a try from England No. 8 Zach Mercer and points from Freddie Burns racked up a commanding first-half lead.

Heem reduced the deficit when he touched down for a 58th-minute score before Batty's red for a dangerous tackle swung the momentum Worcester's way.

As the clock ticked into the red, the Warriors forced Bath back into their own 22 before the visitor's ill-discipline took its toll. Max Lahiff, Lucas Noguera Paz and Aled Brew were all sent to the bin during a series of 18 scrums on their own five-meter line, leaving Bath with just 11 players.

Worcester then took full advantage as Heem crossed under little pressure.

The result leaves Worcester 11th in the Premiership table, four points clear of bottom side Newcastle Falcons.
