Dougie Fife pounced for two second-half tries as Edinburgh came from behind to beat Italian hosts Treviso 24-13 and rack up a fourth straight win.

Winger Fife came to the rescue just as Edinburgh found themselves in trouble at the Stadio Comunale di Monigo in Treviso.

Angelo Esposito had nudged Benetton 13-7 ahead in the Guinness PRO14 clash with a converted try early in the second half, but Fife was fed by Blair Kinghorn for a swift response.

And improving Edinburgh outmanoeuvred the Italians again with barely five minutes remaining to allow Fife to go over again.

The visitors had earlier begun the match purposefully and made a dream start with a third-minute try from Sam Hidalgo-Clyne, converted by Jason Tovey.

A pair of penalties just before the break from Ian McKinley changed the picture though. When Esposito touched down in the second half and McKinley added the extras, the pressure was on Edinburgh to respond.

Fife's tries were both converted by Tovey, who added a penalty for good measure as Richard Cockerill's Myreside men won by a comfortable margin in the end.
