A converted Jesse Kriel try, five minutes from time, saw the Bulls defeat the Cheetahs 20-14 in Super Rugby.

The Cheetahs looked to be in control after a first half which saw Paul Schoeman touch down inside the opening 10 minutes.

Niel Marais kicked two penalties as the Cheetahs led 11-3 at the break, with Tiaan Schoeman's 26th minute penalty the best the Bulls could muster in the opening half.

But the Bulls clawed their way back after the restart as Jaques Potgieter touched down 15 minutes into the second half.

Schoeman converted to bring them to within a point of the Cheetahs. Marais and Schoeman traded penalties as the Cheetahs held a 14-13 lead as the game entered the final 10 minutes before Kriel's moment of magic.

Having won the turnover at the breakdown, winger Jamba Ulengo found the space and Burger Odendaal released Kriel out wide before the Springboks back cut back inside to touch down, with Schoeman converting to seal back-to-back victories for the first time this season for the Bulls.
