Pirelli has rounded off the available tyre selections for the 2016 season by confirming which compounds it will take to Brazil and Abu Dhabi.
At the penultimate round in Brazil, the tyre supplier will take the hard, medium and soft compound. The hard and medium tyres will be designated as the 'race tyres', meaning at least one must be used during the grand prix.
The new-for-2016 ultra-soft tyre will get its fifth and final appearance of the season at Abu Dhabi, where it will be available alongside the soft and super-soft. The purple-striped compound has featured at Monaco, Canada and Austria and will also be available to drivers at the Singapore Grand Prix. In Abu Dhabi, the soft and super-soft will be the designated race tyres.
Teams and drivers are free to choose 10 sets of tyres, with a further three sets set aside by Pirelli. The deadline for teams to make their nominations for flyaway races is 14 weeks in advance, which is why the announcement has come before F1 has even reached its summer break.
