Nico Rosberg says he takes no joy from seeing Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton struggle with poor starts at the two opening rounds of the season.

After qualifying second to Hamilton in both Australia and Bahrain, Rosberg went on to win both races and in doing so has taken a 17-point lead in the championship. Hamilton has twice struggled to get a clean getaway at the start of races, but Rosberg has no doubt his team-mate will come back even stronger.

"I'm not rejoicing in his issues I'm just really focused on doing my job and getting the perfect start as I did today and beating him in that way," Rosberg said. "At the same time, Lewis is going to come back and I know that because he has been so strong in the last two years, so that's for definite."

And Robserg insists he is not driving any differently to last year, when he was lost out to Hamilton at the opening two rounds.

"I haven't changed my approach in any way, I was flat out last year and it just didn't go my way often and now in the first two races it's gone much more my way. There's no difference in that way."
