A new-look Nigeria team came from behind in Uyo on Friday, beating Madagascar 2-1 in their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, with goals from George Ilenikhena and Moses Usor.
The Super Eagles went behind in the 16th minute to an Ehsan Kari goal, but recovered through their debutants to secure a vital three points in a group that already has an AFCON host (Tanzania) guaranteed of a place in the finals.
Meanwhile, Moses Simon recorded his 100th cap for the Super Eagles, only the fifth player to do so. The most recent before him was Alex Iwobi, who passed the mark earlier this year.
