Roundball chatter: Which players will leave college for NBA draft?

Each week, I'll write about the sport I love: college basketball:

  • Several players decided to try going to the NBA draft. De'Aaron Fox, Edrice Adebayo, Malik Monk and Isaiah Briscoe did not surprise anyone by saying farewell to Kentucky. Caleb Swanigan decided to leave Purdue for the pros. Kobi Simmons of Arizona and Justin Patton of Creighton also went into the draft pool.

  • USC gave coach Andy Enfield a contract extension. His Trojans beat Providence and SMU during the NCAA tournament. Iona gave coach Tim Cluess an extension through 2021-22.

  • New Indiana coach Archie Miller hired former Massachusetts and Drexel coach Bruiser Flint to his staff.

  • The American made a great decision adding Wichita State, starting next season. Coach Gregg Marshall is ready for the challenge.

  • St. John's, which previously saw Malik Ellison and Damien Williams transfer, lost another player. Richard Freudenberg, a 6-foot-9 forward, opted to leave to pursue pro basketball options in Europe.
