Before Thursday, MI's biggest defeat by runs at Wankhede in the IPL was by 39 runs against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in 2015.
1 CSK also registered their first-ever win by a margin of 100-plus runs in the IPL. Their previous biggest win was by 97 runs against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in 2015 at Chepauk.
104 MI's total on Thursday, by far their lowest against CSK in the IPL. Their previous lowest was 136 for 8 in Dubai in 2021.
The 104 by MI is also their lowest IPL total since the 87 all out against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Wankhede back in 2018.
19 Wins for CSK against MI in the IPL are the most by any team against them, going past Punjab Kings (PBKS), who have 18. Six of those have come at the Wankhede, tied for the most with PBKS.
MI still lead the head-to-head against CSK with 21 wins, but have won only two of their last nine meetings and only one in six since the start of 2023.
