7.37pm Right then, that's all the action from Lucknow. But today is double-header day, and Virat Kohli and Phil Salt have got RCB off to a flyer at the Wankhede. Track all the action here. On behalf of Ashish, Thilak Ram and everyone else at ESPNcricinfo, it's Abhimanyu signing off.
7.25pm Time for the presentation.
Prasidh Krishna is the POTM: "I think the most important thing was the victory for us. We worked really hard and were doing a lot of things right and we always look to play a good brand of cricket and I think I am just here taking the laurels of all the pressure created by all the other bowlers. [On his method and prep] I would say it's a mixture of all. We played a lot of cricket to understand, you know, you'll be able to react every single time something happens on the ground, but even otherwise that practice is something, you sit together as a team, you have a lot of experience in our dressing room, so just make sure you get a piece of each one's brain and make use of that on the ground. [On bowling his pace-off deliveries] Definitely a lot of practice. You need to bowl a lot of them in the nets and feel good about it before bringing it out in a game. It does take a lot of hard work, a lot of time, a lot of effort in the nets, a tired body and one day you get the fruits of it. [Playing the afternoon game] It was a little tiring in the afternoon for sure. But happy to win, it takes care of everything."
Shubman Gill: "The way we bowled in the powerplay was vey impressive and how we kept up the pressure in the middle overs was tremendous. [On Rashid Khan] Makes my life very easy, the way Rashid is bowling at the moment. Getting us back in the game every time another bowler is under pressure. [On Siraj] I think in the first six overs it's very difficult to do the simple things so it's important to come back and think what are the simple things I can do in the moment and I think in this match he did that really well. That got us back in the game, the way Siraj bowled. And even KG, he went for runs but he was spot on with the lengths. [On the surface] Yeah it wasn't easy to bat on. I feel we gave a few extra runs towards the end but we would have taken that score. [On batting form] Back-to-back fifties for me and Jos, so very happy to be in form."
7.08pm A solid team bowling effort, led by Prasidh Krishna, and then fifties from Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler have helped Gujarat Titans register back-to-back wins while LSG will be left to rue another disappointing performance. Nicholas Pooran's form remains a concern, while their bowlers didn't have enough runs to work with, and with a target like that, it was tailor-made for Gill to chase, and Buttler ensured they never fell behind the asking rate.
Jos Buttler: "Yeah, I've been around for a while and nice to be scoring some runs. Been through a lean patch last couple of months but nice to get some good games. A little bit of space from the game and some time to just kind of think. And I've just been focusing a lot in the last few weeks on my set up and my basics. A few technical issues crept into my game which were actually not allowing me to see the ball so well. It's a hard game if you're not seeing the ball so well. So I've been focusing on everything pre-delivery. I've played for 15 years and I know what to do when I get in. [Hayden's influence] One of the first few sessions he asked me how well are you watching the ball because it doesn't look like you're tracking it that well so, you know, great players like him with the most simple advice, which is nice. and yeah, he's been great. I've really enjoyed spending time with him. Obviously he's got a big presence in that aura, so when he speaks, you listen."
Rishabh Pant: "Definitely not enough runs. They bowled well. [On the pitch] I think on a wicket like this, a score like 170-180 is a really good score. But wickets kept falling and they put enough pressure on us. There were opportunities in the game we couldn't grab. [On Pooran] Definitely we have a great lineup, but the tournament is just starting. We are not putting pressure on anyone, specially the senior guys. They know what they do. The trust is there in the camp."
