Jimmy: "Brook has hundred in all 3 formats in Pakistan. Is that a record? He has a T20 hundred in the PSL, a triple ton and now a double ton in Pakistan. Loves it here" --- Joins the one and only Chris Gayle.

JG: "WOW - just WOW !!!"

Jess: "All that talk about Brooky missing out on Tons this summer, he goes and gets 2 in 2 hours...."

Anthony: "174/2 after 30 overs. Think Harry (and Jacks) made a bit of a mockery of the old 'double your score' addage"

This is England's fourth-highest ODI total. The tale of the tape too is quite brutal for Sri Lanka, giving away 156 runs in the death, and 219 through the middle overs.

4.56pm Well. What do you even say about a display of such belligerence such as that? England and Brook have taken Sri Lanka to the cleaners and then some here, as the Lankan bowlers simply had no answer to Brook's brand of genius. The England skipper has broken all number of records on the way to his 202 off just 116 deliveries - the fastest ever ODI double ton, and the first ever by an England player. Sri Lanka's bowlers came in for beatings from all ends, with fifties for Tom Banton and Will Jacks as well. The only bowlers to come away with any sort of respectable figures was Dunith Wellalage with 2 for 56, while Asitha Fernando also fought valiantly for his 1 for 68. No other bowler managed a run rate of less than eight. Sri Lanka's chase should start in about 30 minutes, but really they'll just do well to make a game of this.

Liyanage to Brook, OUT, Brook falls off the final delivery! And Jacks rightly applauds his skipper off the pitch. This was a wide full one that was carved away but well caught at backward point. But that is hardly the point. England finish on a monstrous 429 for 4!

Madushanka to Brook, 1 run, Dropped! Low full toss and this has been chipped straight up in the air. Mid-off runs across as this is falling over his shoulder. Gets to it, but the ball bobbles out, as he buries his head in the turf. Madushanka is not impressed
