5:33 pm Bangladesh picked up right where they left off, starting Day 2 with aggressive strokes and smart strike rotation. However, Litton gifted his wicket away for 33 runs, toe-ending a wide bouncer to mid-on while attempting a pull shot. This gave Abbas his third scalp and ended a promising 62-run stand. Miraz followed shortly after, dismissed by Abbas cheaply after playing an unnecessary stroke immediately after hitting a six. Abbas put on a red-ball masterclass in the opening session, forcing errors to claim three wickets. Mushfiqur remained steady at his end until just after the lunch break, when an angling delivery from Shaheen dismissed him for 71. Abbas eventually secured his sixth five-wicket haul, even stunning the batters with some sharp bouncers in the mid-120s kph. Thanks to a few handy runs from Taskin down the order, Bangladesh finished with a total of 413. Pakistan's response began strongly with a 50-run opening stand, aided by some undisciplined bowling from the Bangladeshi seamers. Awais looked particularly impressive, playing several elegant cover drives on his way to a maiden Test half-century. Miraz eventually provided the breakthrough by trapping Imam LBW for 45, ending the 106-run opening partnership. The two debutants, Awais and Fazal, then combined for a solid 73-run stand to keep the scoreboard moving, though Fazal was fortunate to be dropped by Shadman in the slips on 28. While the pitch showed occasional variable bounce and the rare turning delivery, both batters looked comfortable. Pakistan ended the day trailing by 234 runs, with Awais unbeaten on 85 and Fazal on 37. Aside from Miraz, the bowlers remained wicketless on a day where Bangladesh's fielding was subpar, marked by several misfields and leaked runs.
