Looks like that's all the cricket we will get today as the light continues to fade. Thank you for your comments and for sticking with us. For now, it's goodbye from me, Rvel Zahid, on behalf of Fidel Fernando and Ranjith P. A big thank you as well to Isam and Rashad, who have been sending us updates from the ground
5:30pm: Well, a big bummer; Pakistan players are left surprised. Shan Masood is having a chat with Richard Kettleborough and Kumar Dharmasena. They are very keen on continuing but it seems the light has deteriorated significantly and the light meter is out so the reading will be standard. All that tiring work from the ground staff finally brought live action back but it has lasted only a couple of overs. The discussion is still underway between Shan Masood and the umpires but the decision seems to be set in stone. Shan Masood thinks there is still adequate light as the sun peeks out from behind the grey clouds but the umpires are not convinced. The fans are left disappointed as well; they had hoped for more action on a Sunday afternoon. Bangladesh's openers would be happy they don't have to contend with testing spells in the tricky final hour, which is always a tough time to bat. They would rather come out afresh tomorrow morning and look for a strong start
