Bevon Jacobs, Player of the Match: Yeah, I have to say, I always like to contribute when I can, so for me to be able to go out there and contribute to the (team) was pretty special. Look, they're obviously not going to stop fighting. They're a tough team; you can't just count them out. I thought Shoriful bowled beautifully to put the pressure back on us, but it was nice to build that partnership and steady the chase. Luckily, because of the work the bowlers put in, the required run rate wasn't too much of a pressure. Yeah, I thought the surface was not too bad, actually. It was a pretty decent surface once you spent some time and got in. Credit to all the bowlers today; they used it well. There was a bit of variability; it tended to stay low, so the bounce was inconsistent. But overall, I thought the bowlers did very well.

Nick Kelly, New Zealand Captain: Yeah, 100%. It's been a very enjoyable series for us. It's been a while now, but we spoke about finishing the series well, and it's nice to get on the plane tonight with a win. Yeah, I think it was awesome. We talked quite a lot after the last game that maybe we didn't quite get the plan right, but I thought we were unbelievable today. I think our death bowling made the difference in the game. And like you said, for Josh to take those figures, I'm very happy for him. Yeah, definitely. Shoriful obviously bowled really well at the top, like he has all series. Then Ben soaked it up through the middle, and we got to see a bit of his power at the end, which was nice. He's a very clean ball striker

Litton Das, Bangladesh Captain: Not really. When we were at the toss, I said that the weather is a big factor. I think the toss was important. Although when we batted first, 150 is obviously difficult to get, but when me and Hridoy got a partnership, the rain came and after that it was not our day. It just broke the momentum. Definitely, when you are playing on such a good wicket...100 is not enough. I think anything around 160 would have been a good total. Although Shoriful bowled really well, that's why we tried in the middle to give them a little bit of pressure. But overall, both batting and bowling were not up to the mark. Yeah, definitely. If Shoriful continues like this, Bangladesh will be more successful in the future. (To the spectators) Hopefully next time when you come, you will support us again, and we will be able to give you a better performance. Thank you again.

New Zealand stuttered early on and lost wickets in quick succession but chasing such a low total, they just needed one good innings and that came from the bat of Bevon Jacobs, who showed great temperament and dominated the bowlers right from the get-go. His 62 off 31 balls made light work of the chase. Tim Robinson's contribution got them closer to the target as well so even though it was an abridged contest, it showed the value of partnerships and one batter making full use of his start. Shoriful created a lot of panic with a scintillating new-ball spell, picking up three wickets while Mehidy chipped in with one but Ripon and Rishad were hit for plenty. Earlier, Bangladesh tried to post a mammoth total but kept losing wickets, mostly by finding fielders on the fence and there weren't any cameos to give them a defendable total. New Zealand make a strong comeback and manage to square the series 1-1

NJ: "I love the bat-swing of Foxcroft, but I'd doubt whether it would come in handy when he visits pacy, bouncy regions of the world....."
