India's Aditi Ashok played her second successive round of 3-under 68, to finish 36 holes of the Olympic women's individual golf with 6-under 136, and a share of eighth spot in Rio.

Aditi was just four shots behind overnight leader Inbee Park, and might have been closer to her but for two bogeys scored on an otherwise flawless performance. Aditi began with birdies on the 536-yard par-five 1st and the 155-yard par-three 4th, and she rounded up her front nine with another shot gained on the 324-yard par-four 9th to climb to the top of the leaderboard briefly.

Aditi shot her first bogey for the round -- and the entire week -- on the par-five 10th, but registered successive birdies on the 374-yard par-four 15th and the 264-yard par-four 16th to draw herself back to the top of the leaderboard. She scored her second bogey on the 509-yard par-five 18th to sign off for the day.

"I shot 3 under both days, so that's pretty consistent for me," Aditi said. "I dropped a few shots today, a couple shots and I could have been a few shots better, but I'm happy going into the weekend.

"It was windy for me on the back nine. But it's different; it played different yesterday and it played different today because of the wind. I'm enjoying it."
