Ex-Barcelona youngster Cristian Ceballos signs for Charlton

Former Barcelona midfielder Cristian Ceballos has signed for Championship club Charlton.

Ceballos, 22, has penned a two-year contract with Charlton, who finished 12th in England's second tier last season.

The forward started his career at Barca before moving to Tottenham in 2011, although he did not feature for the first team.

Ceballos was loaned Portuguese side Arouca in the 2013-14 campaign, where he made 19 appearances and scored once.

Charlton head coach Guy Luzon told the club's official website: "Cristian is a very technical player, who has a lot of quality and skill and I hope that he will be able to show that to Charlton fans this coming season.

"He had a strong football upbringing at Barcelona and after joining Tottenham he kept a strong goalscoring record within their development team."
