All the right moves: 2016 transfers with the biggest impact

Sometimes, a change of scenery is the best thing that can happen to a player.

We've seen more than a few transfers have big impacts on college football teams the past few years, and some of those transfers have gone on to resurrect their careers.

Who are those guys at the midway point this season? Let's take a look:

1. Davis Webb, QB, Cal

Webb, a graduate transfer from Texas Tech, ranks third nationally with 2,256 passing yards and is averaging 376 passing yards per game. He's tied for third with 22 touchdown passes. Webb injured his hand on the second possession of Cal's 47-44 overtime loss to Oregon State on Oct. 8. He gutted it out and stayed in the game, although he finished just 23-of-44 for 113 yards, no touchdowns and one interception. Prior to that game, he had thrown for more than 300 yards and at least four touchdown passes in each of his first five games. Clearly, the shadow of No. 1 NFL draft pick Jared Goff hasn't been too big for Webb.
