No. 13 Colorado women end 4-game skid beating Washington 68-62
BOULDER, Colo. -- — Maddie Nolan scored 20 points and Frida Formann scored 12 points and the 13th-ranked Colorado women ended a four-game losing streak beating Washington 68-62 on Thursday night.
Aaronette Vonleh added 10 points for the Buffaloes.
Lauren Schwartz scored 18 points for Washington, Elle Ladine scored 16 and Dalayah Daniels and Sayvia Sellers each scored 13 points for the Huskies which had their two-game win streak come to an end.
The Buffaloes led 59-47 entering the fourth quarter but struggled in the final stanza scoring just nine points. Colorado took the lead for good on a Tameiya Sadler layup which broke a 7-all tie with 4:48 left in the first quarter.
Colorado (21-7, 11-6 Pac-12) closes the regular season on Saturday at home against Washington State and needs help to secure a top-four finish to secure a first-round bye in the post-season tournament.
The Buffaloes lost to No. 17 Oregon State, No. 22 Utah, No. 7 USC and No. 8 UCLA in a 15-day span.
Washington (15-13, 5-12) closes the regular season on Saturday on the road against No. 18 Utah.
