Woolbright leads Western Carolina past Middle Tennessee 66-64
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- — Vonterius Woolbright scored 21 points and sank two free throws with 3 seconds remaining to lead Western Carolina over Middle Tennessee 66-64 on Monday night.
Woolbright added 12 rebounds and five assists for the Catamounts (3-0). DJ Campbell scored 14 points and added eight rebounds. Corneilous Williams shot 4 of 5 from the field to finish with 10 points, while adding eight rebounds.
The Blue Raiders (2-1) were led by Elias King, who posted 14 points. Jestin Porter added 13 points and nine rebounds for Middle Tennessee. Jacob Johnson also had nine points and six rebounds.
