Morgan State dominates Florida A&M 74-48
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Tiwian Kendley scored 24 points and Morgan State held Florida A&M to 18 first-half points on its way to a 74-48 win on Monday night.
David Syfax added 17 points and 10 rebounds and Stanley Davis scored 13 for the Bears (10-15, 6-6 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), who led 38-18 at halftime and had their largest lead at 67-40.
It was Morgan State's first road win since a 69-63 victory over Mount St. Mary's on Nov. 27, snapping a 12-game road losing streak.
Marcus Barham and Desmond Williams had 17 points apiece for the Rattlers (5-23, 4-8), who lost their fifth in the last six.
Florida A&M had a 9-0 run to get within 50-36 in the second half but got no closer.
Morgan State made just 1 of 10 from 3-point range but hit 30 of 58 shots overall and outscored the Rattlers 48-4 in the paint.
