Bastia end winless Ligue 1 run at home to Metz
Bastia claimed their first Ligue 1 win since September with a 2-0 victory over Metz at Stade Armand Cesari on Saturday night.
Gael Danic opened the scoring for the hosts midway through the first half as he collected Allan Saint-Maximin's pass and slotted into the bottom corner for his first goal of the season.
Monaco loanee Saint-Maximin doubled the home side's lead with 15 minutes remaining as he fired from outside the box to seal much-needed three points for Les Bleus, who moved up two spots to 16th to sit one point behind their opponents.
