Atletico de Kolkata rout FC Goa, move atop ISL table thanks to Doutie brace
A Sameehg Doutie brace helped Atletico de Kolkata move atop the Indian Super League table with comfortable 4-0 defeat of FC Goa on Sunday.
Doutie's double bracketed goals from Borja and Iain Hume to see the hosts rise one point above second-placed Goa in the league.
The South African opened the scoring in the 20th minute, receiving a pass from Jaime Gavilan on the left before powering his shot past Goa keeper Laxmikant Kattimani.
Doutie turned provider for Atletico's second, laying off for Borja who lashed an unstoppable shot past Kattimani from just outside the box in the 22nd minute.
It was Doutie again who set up the third. His deft dribbling through the Goa defence resulted in a 68th-minute penalty, which Hume converted from the spot.
Doutie then got his second 10 minutes later, latching on to a pass from Ofentse Nato before touching around the keeper and slotting home to complete the rout.
