Peterhead moved above Ayr into second place in Ladbrokes League One thanks to a 2-1 win at Somerset Park.Shane Sutherland rifled home the opening goal for Peterhead in the 22nd minute, but just three minutes later the hosts were level as Craig Moore's low shot from the centre of the area found the net.Rory McAllister restored Peterhead's lead four minutes before the break with another well-placed low shot.Ayr had the better of the second half, but failed to fashion any clear-cut chances and Peterhead held out to go two points clear of their opponents in the standings, even though they had Scott Ross sent off in the first minute of injury time after he picked up a second booking.
