Commentary
Coventry are still camped inside their own half, as Manchester City pop the ball around with purpose. Cherki is taking plenty of clever touches, and he tees up Enzo Fernandez for a blocked shot from the edge of the box.
With a deficit to overturn, Coventry will have to try and push further forward at some stage, but their hosts are still dominating this match. Opta's supercomputer now gives Man City a huge 90% chance of victory.
Cherki's low cross is hacked behind by Pinnock, but the hosts fail to make much of the subsequent corner. When play is recycled on the left, Rushworth comes out to cleanly catch a wayward delivery into his box.
Incredibly, Haaland has now scored 20 goals in 21 Premier League appearances against newly promoted clubs. Coventry will surely not be the last to feel his wrath!
With an inviting cutback from the right byline, Semenyo has provided an assist in consecutive Premier League games for the first time.

GOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!! MAN CITY TAKE THE LEAD! It's 1-0! Haaland heads home from close range! Arriving at the back post, he leaps up to meet a fine cross by Semenyo and powers the ball into the back of the net! The Norwegian superstar also sets another record: he's now scored more headed goals than any other City player in Premier League history (20).
