POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- — Joel Brown scored 21 points as Iona beat Marist 71-64 on Sunday.
Brown was 9 of 14 shooting (3 for 5 from 3-point range) for the Gaels (14-15, 9-9 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference). Jeremiah Quigley added 18 points while shooting 7 for 15 (1 for 4 from 3-point range) and 3 of 4 from the free throw line, and he also had six rebounds and six assists. Wheza Panzo shot 6 for 8 from beyond the arc to finish with 18 points.
The Red Foxes (16-11, 11-7) were led in scoring by Max Allen, who finished with 15 points. Javon Cooley added 14 points and eight rebounds for Marist. In addition, Jadin Collins finished with eight points and six rebounds.
