Southern Miss secures 79-63 win against Coastal Carolina
CONWAY, S.C. -- — Donovan Ivory scored 28 points as Southern Miss beat Coastal Carolina 79-63 on Wednesday night.
Ivory shot 9 for 15 (6 for 7 from 3-point range) and 4 of 4 from the free throw line for the Golden Eagles (12-8, 6-2 Sun Belt Conference). Cobie Montgomery scored 11 points and added eight rebounds. Jeffery Armstrong shot 3 for 6, including 2 for 5 from beyond the arc to finish with 10 points.
Kevin Easley Jr. led the way for the Chanticleers (5-14, 2-6) with 18 points. Jacob Meyer added 14 points and eight rebounds for Coastal Carolina. In addition, John Ojiako finished with 10 points and nine rebounds.
