ESTERO, Fla. -- — Abdoulaye Thiam scored 27 points as High Point beat Iona 82-68 on Monday in the Gulf Coast Showcase.
Thiam added five rebounds for the Panthers (2-2). Kimani Hamilton scored 15 points and added eight rebounds. Duke Miles was 4 of 10 shooting (2 for 5 from 3-point range) to finish with 12 points.
Wheza Panzo finished with 18 points for the Gaels (1-2). Jeremiah Quigley added 11 points, six rebounds and six assists for Iona. Jean Aranguren also had eight points.
