Filipovity scores 20 as Maine knocks off Albany 74-71 in OT
ALBANY, N.Y. -- — Peter Filipovity had 20 points in Maine's 74-71 overtime win against Albany on Saturday night.
Jaden Clayton's two free throws with 44 seconds left in overtime gave Maine the lead for good.
Filipovity added seven rebounds for the Black Bears (14-16, 6-9 America East Conference). Kellen Tynes added 14 points while going 4 of 13 from the floor, including 2 for 4 from 3-point range, and 4 for 5 from the line, and he also had three blocks. Quion Burns had 11 points and shot 4 for 6, including 1 for 3 from beyond the arc.
Sebastian Thomas finished with 21 points for the Great Danes (13-17, 5-10). Albany also got 20 points, eight rebounds and two steals from Aaron Reddish. In addition, Muneer Newton had 13 points.
