MIAMI -- — Arturo Dean had 27 points in Florida International's 74-59 victory against Long Island on Saturday night.
Dean added seven rebounds and six steals for the Panthers (3-7). Jayden Brewer added 14 points while shooting 5 of 10 from the field and 3 for 5 from the line, and he also had five rebounds. Okechukwu Okeke had 13 points and shot 4 of 7 from the field and 4 for 7 from the line.
R.J. Greene led the way for the Sharks (1-6) with 13 points and seven rebounds. Terell Strickland added 12 points and seven rebounds for LIU. Eric Acker also had 12 points.
