DELAND, Fla. -- — Stephan D. Swenson scored 19 points as Stetson beat Austin Peay 83-82 on Thursday night.
Jalen Blackmon made two free throws to give Stetson an 83-79 lead in the closing seconds.
Swenson added five rebounds and 10 assists for the Hatters (12-9, 4-2 Atlantic Sun Conference). Alec Oglesby added 18 points while shooting 7 for 11, including 4 for 8 from beyond the arc, and he also had seven rebounds. Aubin Gateretse had 14 points and was 5 of 6 shooting and 4 of 5 from the free throw line.
The Governors (10-11, 3-3) were led by Ja'Monta Black, who recorded 21 points. Austin Peay also got 20 points from Dezi Jones. In addition, Demarcus Sharp had 16 points, 11 rebounds and six assists.
