OREM, Utah -- — Lue Williams' 21 points helped Tarleton State defeat Utah Valley 72-61 on Thursday night.

Williams added six rebounds for the Texans (16-7, 9-3 Western Athletic Conference). Jakorie Smith added 13 points while shooting 5 for 12, including 3 for 6 from beyond the arc, and they also had seven rebounds and five steals. Kiandre Gaddy shot 4 of 7 from the field to finish with 10 points, while adding six rebounds and three blocks.

The Wolverines (9-14, 4-8) were led in scoring by Ethan Potter, who finished with 19 points and eight rebounds. Utah Valley also got 10 points from Jaden McClanahan. Drake Allen also recorded eight points and four assists.
