Llewellyn helps Princeton slip past Dartmouth 65-62
HANOVER, N.H. -- Freshman Jaelin Llewellyn tossed in 21 points to help Princeton fend off Dartmouth 65-62 on Saturday.
Llewellyn sank 7 of 15 shots from the floor, including 5 of 7 from 3-point range, for the Tigers (12-11, 7-3 Ivy League). He added four rebounds and four assists. Richmond Aririguzoh had 14 points, five rebounds and three assists, while Drew Friberg came off the bench to hit two 3-pointers, scoring 12.
Chris Knight poured in 27 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, matching his career high in both categories, for the Big Green (10-15, 3-7). Knight connected on 13 of 18 shots from the floor, accounting for half of Dartmouth's baskets. Aaryn Rai pitched in with 17 points. Knight and Rai combined to make 20 of 29 shots, while their teammates made just 6 of 27 attempts.
Princeton shot 45% from the floor, 39% from beyond the arc (11 of 28), and made 6 of 8 free throws. Dartmouth shot 46% overall and made 3 of 10 from distance and 7 of 10 at the foul line.
The Tigers swept the season series with the Big Green, winning 66-44 in the first meeting.
