Columbia's 3-point parade sends it past Cornell 88-62
NEW YORK -- Lukas Meisner scored 19 points on 4-of-5 shooting from 3-point range and Columbia registered 16 3s, dismantling Cornell 88-62 on Saturday.
In shooting 16 of 28 from distance, Columbia (4-12, 1-2 Ivy League) tied the program's single-game record for the second time this season. Quinton Adlesh and Nate Hickman each scored 14 and Adlesh was 4 of 5 from 3-point range and Hickman was 3 of 5. Gabe Stefani scored 11 and Kyle Castlin, 10 and 14 Lions players saw action.
Columbia was 32 of 61 (52.5 percent) overall and made all eight free throws. The Lions led 20-6 after Mike Smith and Adlesh made consecutive 3s and never trailed. The Lions led 43-29 at halftime before Meisner and Adlesh scored and Hickman added a 3 to make it 50-32 less than two minutes into the second half.
Matt Morgan led Cornell (6-10, 0-3) with 20 points.
