Lynch double-double leads balanced Hartford past Maine 86-68
BANGOR, Maine -- J.R. Lynch scored 15 points and made 10 assists and three steals as Hartford defeated Maine 86-68 Thursday night with seven players scoring at least nine points.
Jack Hobbs added 14 points on 5-for-7 shooting, four of those from 3-point range, Jason Dunne scored 12, John Carroll and George Blagojevic each scored 11 points. Travis Weatherington tossed in 10. Six players in double figures is a season-high for Hartford (11-9, 4-2 America East Conference).
Hassan Attia scored nine as Hartford shot 56 percent from the floor (32 of 57) and drained 11 3-pointers on 25 tries. Attia's single shot block in the game pushed him past 100 in his career.
Aaron Calixte scored 21 points to lead Maine (4-17, 1-5) but he was the only one to reach double figures.
Maine had an early lead, but Hartford scored 10 unanswered points to open the second half and led 56-35 after a 20-2 run.
