Wright has 23, Clareth 22 to lead Siena over Marist 80-64
ALBANY, N.Y. -- Marquis Wright scored 23 points, Nico Clareth hit six 3-pointers and scored 22 and Siena defeated Marist 80-64 on Sunday.
Lavon Long added 18 points for the Saints (15-16, 12-8 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference), who wrapped up the fourth-seed in the league tournament.
Marist (8-23, 5-15) took a 27-17 lead on a Kentrall Brooks jumper with 7:38 left in the first half. Siena took the lead during a 15-2 and led 45-40 at the break.
The roll continued into the second half and with 3:44 left in the game the Saints, who matched a season-high with 11 3-pointers, were up 80-58, making it a 63-31 run.
Ryan Funk had 18 points and Khallid Hart 18 for the Red Foxes, who will be the 11th or 12th seed, pending a coin flip. Marist also hit 11 3s but was outrebounded 40-25, including 13-3 on the offensive end.
