Western Sydney Wanderers secured their first victory of the A-League season as Dario Vidosic's goal proved enough to see off Perth Glory at the Pirtek Stadium.

Vidosic, making his first start for the club, struck just before half-time to take his side off the bottom of the table and lift them above their visitors.

Glory, who struggled to create chances, rarely looked likely to take anything from the match.

And they were left to rue the late defensive lapse that saw Vidosic find the space to finish with a low shot.

Wanderers will look to build on a morale-boosting result when they travel to Newcastle jets next weekend.
