Dumbarton v Queens
Queens sink sorry Sons
Queen of the South eased to a 4-0 victory in blustery conditions and condemned Dumbarton to a second successive Scottish Championship defeat. The visitors took the lead after 20 minutes, with Derek Lyle sliding in his second league goal in as many games following a poor back pass from Dumbarton's Scott Linton. Queens made it 2-0 five minutes after the break, with Gavin Reilly grabbing his second of the season with a header into the top corner from Lyle's cross. James Fowler took full advantage of the conditions when he made it 3-0 after 68 minutes. After the keeper's clearance hung up in the wind, the midfielder brought the ball down and smashed it in off the bar from 30 yards. Iain Russell completed the rout 13 minutes from time when he slotted past Danny Rogers in the Dumbarton goal.
