Commentary
It is a dream start to the season for Brentford, as they demolish a sorry Spurs 3-0 at the Gtech! Brentford were on top from the first whistle of the match and took the lead just 12 minutes into the game through Lewis-Potter. Most of the credit goes to Sangare, who, on his debut, picked out the fullback after a glorious one-two on the edge of the area, giving him the space to dart into the box. It was two just after the half-an-hour mark, with Kinsky failing to push Jensen’s effort out of danger, allowing Janelt a simple finish from yards out. Kayode made it three just moments into the second half. It was a similar situation to the second goal, with Kinsky failing to push an effort away from danger, this time allowing Kayode to react first and score. Brentford were gifted the opportunity to make it four, but, after Schade was brought down in the box by Bentancur, Thiago’s penalty hit the foot of the post – perhaps the only blemish on a brilliant afternoon. Spurs tried to get back into the game but were second best all over the pitch! Brentford ended the match with 3.96 xG, whereas Spurs accumulated just 0.47 xG across the match. Next up for Brentford is a trip to Elland Road to face Leeds, who picked up three points themselves earlier this afternoon. For Spurs, they host Newcastle is a game that they must turn up in, otherwise pressure may already be on the club after an expensive summer. That’s all from me here, thank you all for tuning into our coverage. Bye all!
FULL-TIME: BRENTFORD 3-0 TOTTENHAM
Brentford are clearly enjoying the game now that they know it is won. They are attacking with so much freedom and are pushing for a fourth.
There will be a minimum of four minutes of added time.
As we approach added time, Spurs now are having most of the possession, but it is still too comfortable for the hosts.

Now comes Spurs’ final change, with Udogie on for Gray.
