Sunderland v Chelsea

Having played against Dinamo just three days ago, Sunderland should be the side sapped of energy here, but the Black Cats are still flying into duels and putting in plenty of pressing as Chelsea struggle to piece anything together!

WIDE!! Talbi takes on Palestra once more before whipping a dangerous delivery into the middle as Brobbey arrives, but the Dutchman can't get a clean connection on the cross and knocks it wide of the near post via his knee, right in front of goal!

Chelsea have lost just one of their last 14 Premier League away games against the side starting the day bottom of the table, doing so in a 2–1 to Crystal Palace back in October 2017.

BLOCKED!! Ahoka releases Talbi down the left and the Moroccan makes his way past Lavia and Palestra before crossing from the byline, with a delivery that is allowed to bounce before Hume hits a first-time shot straight at Chavarria!

Sunderland have won three of their last five Premier League games against Chelsea, winning more points in that run (eight) than they did in their previous 23 against the Blues.

Brobbey came off the bench and had several chances as Sunderland attempted to chase a 2–0 deficit against Dinamo on Thursday, while Ahoka started alongside Xhaka and midfield and came close to opening the scoring with a first-half, far-post header.
