Nottm Forest v Man City
Matz Sels (Nottingham Forest) Drop of Ball at 25'
Match Timeline & Momentum
Commentary
CLOSE FOR CITY! Guehi delivers a wonderful whipped ball from the left, Fernandez gets up but heads over from close range. He couldn't quite get above it, but he should have hit the target.
Khusanov now concedes a corner after a beauty of a cross on the run from Munoz. Williams is the man to deliver from the left this time. Guehi heads clear, but Murillo gets a shot on target from the rebound.
This is the earliest City have been 2-0 down in a Premier League match (18th minute) since November 2019 (13th minute at Liverpool).
THAT SHOULD BE 3-0! This is barely believable. Schlager wins the ball in midfield again, then sets Gibbs-White free. He gets to the byline with ease, then lays it into the path of McAtee, who blazes over when he has to at the very least hit the target and, truthfully, should have scored.
Schlager gets the assist after winning his challenge, but it was all about the run and finish from Delap.
GOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLL! WHAT SORT OF A THING IS HAPPENING?! FOREST LEAD 2-0! Oh, wow what a way to score your first home goal for Delap. City make a real mess in midfield and Schlager steals in to win the ball. Delap, once on City's books, then marauds forward from the centre of the park unchallenged, then absolutely rifles past Donnarumma high into the left side of the goal! Forest are 2-0 up!
