Booker with 2 TDs as Harvard pummels Georgetown 41-2
WASHINGTON -- Charlie Booker III ran for two touchdowns and Harvard made good on four first-half Georgetown turnovers to win it 41-2 on Saturday.
Booker finished with 65 yards on 13 carries for the Crimson (2-1). Jake Smith had 214 yards passing.
Justice Shelton-Mosley returned a Georgetown punt 91 yards for a score to get Harvard on the board 7-0 early in the first quarter. Georgetown's next drive ended when quarterback Clay Norris was dropped for an 11-yard loss, fumbled, and Harvard's Richie Ryan recovered the ball. Nine plays later, Booker took it in from 11 yards and Harvard led 14-0 with 5:56 left in the quarter.
Early in the second quarter, Raishaun McGhee picked off Norris for a 23-yard interception return score and a fumble on the Hoyas' next drive led to a Jake McIntyre field goal and the Crimson were up 24-0 with 8:20 left in the first half.
Norris threw for 129 yards for the Hoyas (1-3).
