HOUSTON -- — Zytarious Mortle and PJ Harvey scored 20 points each as Texas Southern beat Jackson State 80-70 on Saturday night.
Mortle also contributed seven rebounds for the Tigers (13-14, 11-5 Southwestern Athletic Conference). Henry added five assists. Jonathan Cisse shot 6 for 14, including 3 for 6 from beyond the arc to finish with 17 points, while adding five rebounds and six assists.
Ken Evans led the Tigers (12-16, 8-7) in scoring, finishing with 19 points, six rebounds and four assists. Keionte Cornelius added 13 points for Jackson State. Coltie Young also recorded 10 points and two steals.
