BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- — Trey Jemison scored 12 points as UAB beat Florida International 76-72 on Saturday night.
Jemison added 11 rebounds for the Blazers (17-7, 8-5 Conference USA). KJ Buffen scored 12 points and added eight rebounds and three blocks. Ledarrius Brewer was 3-for-3 shooting from 3-point range and scored 12.
Denver Jones led the Panthers (12-12, 6-7) in scoring, finishing with 22 points and four steals, Mohamed Sanogo added 20 points and seven rebounds and Arturo Dean scored 15 points, distributed six assists and had four steals.

Both teams play on Thursday. UAB visits North Texas while Florida International hosts Louisiana Tech.
