Spain had a whopping 27 shots, compared to six for their opponents, but none of the seven they managed on target could find a way past the inspired Vozinha. The 40-year-old produced some brilliant stops late in the first half to deny Oyarzabal, Laporte and Torres, with the latter also hitting the crossbar from Spain's best chance of the contest. Cape Verde had their own moments as they broke forward, but they lacked the quality required in the final third. Still, a point against the 2010 World Cup winners will go down as the greatest moment in their history. But ultimately it is what you do with the ball and Spain just could not find a goal as Group H gets off to an exciting start.
