Here's what you had to say about Chuck Knoblauch moving from second base to left field.
Should help in the long run
This a good move because it takes the pressure off of Knoblauch and the Yankees get to put Alfonso Soriano in the lineup day in and day out. Lets face it: Knoblauch isn't getting any better and this just may be what he needs to get his bat on track. The best thing about this is that it is only the spring. If all works well and Knoblauch plays well in the outfield, then the Yanks should keep him there.

This won't help
Knoblauch can barely make a 45 foot throw and now they put him out there and now expect him to make a 250-foot throw? This is a bad move for the Yankees but at least the fans behind home plate will be protected by the back screen.

Perform or else
If his hitting improves to OF caliber power, maybe this could be a permanent move. If not, maybe we should see if someone else wants him. It's too bad, 'cause he's a good Yankee. On the other hand, it's not '98 anymore, and the AL East is going to be a dogfight this year. I'm hoping his power numbers improve.

It's all about the Benjamins
It just seems that the Yanks are tied into a long-term contract, and they'd rather have him play somewhere instead of warming the bench for all the money he's making. If he couldn't hit first base from only a couple of feet away, how is he going to throw out anybody at the plate?

Move can't hurt
LF is a good move for Knobby. It's not like he is transplanting a perennial gold glover out there and the Yanks need his bat in the lineup. Besides, Soriano is probably a better fit at 2B than in LF.

While you're at it
Maybe next they could moveDerek Jeter to right, then put Paul O'Neill at first, move Tino Martinez to third, insert Shane Spencer at short, and trade Scott Brosius to the Twins for a bag of baseballs.
If they held out long enough, they could probably get the Twins to throw in a few batting gloves too.

This should be interesting
Knoblauch is just not cutting it anymore at 2B, and I think it is time to experiment. However, I think LF is not going to work, mainly because of the arm issues. If he can't hit Tino when he is 10 feet from him, how is he going to nail the guy at home plate. However, it might work, given new surroundings. His arm might turn back to normal.

Soriano should benefit
I think it's a great opportunity for rookie Alfonso Soriano to develop in the infield and hopefully be a star. And for Chuck, well he has to hit real great to take either Spencer, Glenallen Hill or (Clay) Bellinger's spot at LF while (David) Justice is safe at DH. Chucky it's going to be tough
