SportsCenter takes a look back at some of the most iconic moments in WWE Survivor Series history. (4:32)

The 2019 edition of Survivor Series takes place on Sunday, Nov. 24 at the Allstate Arena, in the suburbs of Chicago. It is the 33rd edition of Survivor Series, and for the first time in the event's history, most of the matches will pit the superstars of Raw and SmackDown against NXT and one another in a series of inter-promotional matches. The match format that Survivor Series has become famous for -- elimination tag team matches -- will once again feature prominently.

Survivor Series, like WWE's other three signature pay-per-views (WrestleMania, Royal Rumble and SummerSlam) has become a four-day run of consecutive shows in the same city. SmackDown will kick off the weekend on Friday, followed by NXT TakeOver: War Games III (Saturday), Survivor Series (Sunday) and Raw (Monday).

Survivor Series 2018 results

The 2018 edition of Survivor Series took place on Sunday, Nov. 18 at Staples Center in Los Angeles. It was the 32nd edition of Survivor Series, and most of the matches pit superstars from Raw and SmackDown against one another in a series of inter-promotional matches. The match format that Survivor Series has become famous for -- elimination tag team matches -- once again featured prominently with one women's 5-on-5 elimination match, one men's 5-on-5 elimination match and a third featuring a handful of tag teams from Raw and SmackDown facing off. There was also a cruiserweight championship match featured on the card.
