As it happened: Australia dominate Canada in opening World Cup clash

Australia looked a little shaky early but quickly got on top of a young Canada side pulling out to a 13 point lead for the halftime break, but Nick Nurse got his recruits firing in the third to pull the lead back within minutes.

The Boomers lost their lead and floundered for most of the third, but they quickly turned the heat on again in the fourth.

Raining threes and slamming dunks, the Boomers closed out the match with fine minutes left on the clock finishing with a 16 point win.
