Better club for Kane: Manchester United or Manchester City? (1:32)

ESPN FC's Craig Burley talks reported interest in Harry Kane from both of the Manchester Clubs. (1:32)

In the biggest game of the mid-week, Juventus beat Atalanta to clinch yet another Coppa Italia title. In France, PSG eased past Monaco to the Coupe de France title. Across the Channel, the English Premier League was in full swing - Liverpool and Chelsea nosed ahead of Leicester City in the race for the top 4, Manchester City were beaten, Manchester United were held and West Ham edged ahead of Tottenham Hotspur for the last spot in the top six.

Here are the best stats from the last two days of footballing action --

Coppa Italia

4

In his first season as a professional coach, Andrea Pirlo has a trophy. He is the fourth Juventus manager to have won the Coppa Italia both as a player and as a coach -- after Luis Monti, Carlo Parola and Dino Zoff.

6

Pirlo's former teammate and elder statesman of the team, Gianluigi Buffon has now won six Coppa Italia trophies (one with Parma and five with Juve), tying Dejan Stankovic and Roberto Mancini for the most by an individual in the tournament's history.

14

This was Juventus' 14th Coppa Italia, at least five more than any other side.

22

Buffon -- who has said he will be leaving Juventus at the end of this season -- has now won 22 major titles with Juve, that's the most in club history (Oh, and this excludes the 2006-07 Serie B title).

Coupe De France

14

Goals from Kylian Mbappe and Mauro Icardi sealed Paris Saint Germain's 14th Coupe de France title, extending the record for most in competition history. This is, in fact, PSG's 6th Coupe de France title in the last 7 seasons.

Premier League

7

What a quirky little stat this is. Kelechi Iheanacho is the first player in PL history to score a goal on all seven days of the week within a single season in the competition.

12, 20

Two major records ended when Brighton & Hove Albion came from two goals down to beat Manchester City -- the latter's 12 game away winning streak in the league, and 20 game away winning run in all competitions. No team in the history of the English first division has won more.

15

Allan Saint-Maximin completed 15 dribbles against Sheffield United on Wednesday. That's the joint-most of any player in a single game within Europe's top five leagues this season, along with... Lionel Messi's 15 against Celta Vigo.

21y 272 d

Joe Willock has now scored in six consecutive PL appearances. He's the youngest player in the competition's history to do so, at the age of 21 years and 272 days. Just to give you an idea of the kind of form he's in, across those last 6 matches, Willock is averaging a goal every 43.2 minutes.

28

Manchester United have conceded 28 goals at home this PL season. That's the most the club has conceded in a single league season at Old Trafford since 1962-63 (38).

29

Sheffield United have suffered their 29th PL defeat of the season. That is a joint-record in a single campaign in the competition -- along with Derby County in 2007-08, Sunderland in 2005-06 and Ipswich Town in 1994-95.

35.2

Edinson Cavani's goal was scored from 35.2 meters away, the longest distance from goal anyone has scored from in a PL game this season. What a way to introduce yourself to the home crowd, eh?

59

Leeds United are the first newly promoted top-flight team to score as many as 59 goals in a 38-game season since they themselves scored 65 goals in 1990-91.

60

This is quite a fascinating stat. Arsenal have never lost a PL game in which a teenager has scored. On Wednesday night, Gabriel Martinelli made it the 60th such match for the Gunners in the competition, of which they have won 50 and drawn 10.

85%

Speaking of fascinating stats -- of Jorginho's 13 PL goals, 11 have been penalties (85%), the highest such ratio by any player with 10+ goals in the competition's history.

150 vs. 137

Now, if you were to single out one stat to describe just how unique this season has been, this is it. With 13 more away wins (150) than home wins (137) and only 10 matches remaining, the 2020-21 Premier League season is the first campaign in the history of England's top four tiers to see more away wins than home wins.

1000

Sergio Reguilon's own-goal was the 1000th scored in PL history, 10,483 days after Mark Crossley netted the first, back in August 1992 for Nottingham Forest. Reguilon is the 640th player with at least one own goal to their name.

Messi-Ronaldo watch

Another day, another trophy for Cristiano Ronaldo.

1

This was Ronaldo's first Coppa Italia title. Winning this now means that he has won all the major competitions he's played in for Manchester United, Juventus and Real Madrid.

34 vs. 35

The Coppa Italia makes it 34 career titles for Ronaldo. Since you asked, Lionel Messi has 35.
